How to Play hangmango — Free Hangman Alternative
hangmango is a free online word guessing game — a modern, child-friendly alternative to the classic hangman game. Guess hidden words one letter at a time across six fun categories: Animals, Food, Sports, Countries, Movies, and Science.
Game rules
A random word is chosen from your selected category and difficulty. The word appears as a row of blank tiles. Click a letter on the keyboard (or press a key) to guess. Correct guesses reveal the letter in the word. Wrong guesses advance the mango animation — the branch shakes, the mango loosens, falls, bounces, and finally goes splat! You get 6 wrong guesses before the mango drops.
Custom word mode
Type your own word in the "give a friend a word to guess" box. Pass the device to another player and let them guess your word — great for parties or classrooms.
Tips
Start with common vowels like E, A, and O. Then try frequent consonants like S, T, R, and N. Use the category hint to guide your guesses — an animal word with lots of letters is probably something exotic!
